I have a chapter about a certain boy wizard author in this German anthology

When people worry about “cancel culture”, J.K. Rowling’s “case” is barely ever missing from their list of examples. For the anthology Canceln: Ein notwendiger Streit (Hanser, 2023) — which also includes texts by Asal Dardan, Hanna Engelmeier, Ijoma Mangold and others — I got to reflect on the change in the relationship between Rowling and her fandom: how did she lose certain fans, how did she pick up new ones? What does either group find (or refuse to find) in her work. You can buy the book here.
